Camogie Notes Monday, 5th September

Liberty Insurance All Ireland Finals in Croke Park: Be there! Clubs are asked to make every effort to get as many supporters as possible to Croke Park on Sunday 11 September for Camogie’s showpiece playing occasion of the year - 12 noon Armagh v Carlow; 2pm Cork v Kilkenny; 4pm Cork v Kilkenny. Apart from seeing very good games it is important that Camogie followers show their support for the finals by being there. Best of luck to our fellow Leinster teams - Carlow in the Premier Junior and Kilkenny in the Intermediate and Senior.

Intercounty Scene: Interviews for the position of manager for the Dublin senior camogie team takes place this evening at the Red Cow hotel. We wish the candidates all the best.

Dublin club championships: Please note that all evening games are scheduled for 6.45 due to light considerations. Round 3 of the adult championships takes place on Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th September.

Unregistered players: It is the responsibility of each club to ensure that all their players are registered. Failure to do so can have serious consequences for the player and the club – insurance, team participation etc.

The 43rd Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland Camogie Sevens: Best of luck to all at Kilmacud for their annual Sevens competitions which takes place this Saturday 10th September. This is a great event and well worth attending. Best of luck to the Dublin clubs participating in this great event.

Under 14 National Blitz: Best of luck to the 3 Dublin panels which are taking part in this year’s National under 14 Blitz this coming Saturday at various Dublin venues through the city. 40 teams will participate in this year’s National under 14 Blitz.

St. Judes under 13 Invitational Competition: Best of luck to all at Naomh Jude with this year’s annual under 13 invitational event. Best of luck to each of the county teams in attendance.

Under12 school of Excellence: The U-12 School of Excellence continues this week in the Phoenix Park on Friday 9thember. Teams 1-4 should be ready to start at 6pm and teams 5-8 should be ready to start at 7pm. 

Crumlin girls in Croke Park on Sunday: Best of luck to the under 12 girls from Crumlin. Crumlin are one of 6 teams which will play during half time of the Junior Camogie final on Sunday. The 6 teams were drawn out of 265 teams which registered their interest in playing.

County Board meeting: This month’s County Board meeting takes place next Monday 12th September in Parnell Park at the usual times – 7pm for the Minor Board and 7.45 for the County Board.
