Dublin Camogie's new senior manager: Congratulations to David Herity, who has been appointed Dublin Camogie's new senior manager. David takes over from Shane O'Brien who stepped down from the position. David will be joined by Michael O'Grady, John Matthews and Sandra Tarr. David, a five time Senior All Ireland winner with Kilkenny, retired from Intercounty hurling in November 2014. David was part of the Dublin senior management set up last year. Camogie followers in the capital are delighted with the news of David's appointment. We wish David every success.
Dublin club championships: we are looking forward to the semi-final and finals of this year's We are Dublin adult championships. Replays for drawn games will take on Sunday 2nd October with the finals taking place on Sunday 9th October. Senior 4 and 5 finals take place on Sunday 16th October with the Senior 6, 7A and 7B finals taking place on Sunday, 30th October.

Minor championships: Clubs are invited to take part in this year's Minor championships. Applications are now being accepted for our Minor championships. We will run an A B & C championship with possibly a D competition, depending on numbers entering. These competitions will commence around 15/16th Oct and finish around the middle of Nov. Clubs wishing to enter above championships should reply to the undersigned on or before Friday 30th Sept. Clubs should indicate which championship/s they wish to enter.
Under 12 school of Excellence: The U-12 School of Excellence continues this week in the Phoenix Park on Friday 16th September.
Re-enactment of Bloody Sunday 1920 takes place at Good Counsel's pitch on Davitt Road on Saturday, 24th September 2016 at 2.45pm. Seminar "The GAA and the Revolution in Ireland 1913 -1923 with guest speakers will take place the previous evening at 8.00pm. Congratulations to Good Counsel on this historic event. Roadstone to help promote the development of juvenile camogie in Dublin: Pat Martin, Chairman, Dublin Camogie County Board, received a cheque from Larry Byrne, MD Roadstone to help promote the development of juvenile camogie in Dublin. The presentation took place at the recent Under 12 School of Excellence session.
Shinty trip to Scotland: Dublin Camogie has been invited to send a team to play Scotland in a Shinty/Camogie tournament in Aberdeen. The trip takes place Friday to Sunday 21st-23rd October.
