Over 30 girls took part in an advanced training camp in St Brigids GAA Club from Tuesday 26th-Thursday 28th July. The girls represented 12 different clubs across the City and were aged between 13-16yrs. The camp is aimed at this specific age group to provide relevant activity for these club girls in the hope that they continue to play Camogie throughout their teen years.

Girls enjoyed top quality coaching from Dublin GAA GPO’s Paul O’Brien, Zoe Cole, Clare Dowdall and Nollaig Ryan. Peter Francis from Coaching Ireland did a workshop with the girls on the importance of nutrition and hydration while playing Camogie. They were also treated to a visit from one of Camogie’s top Inter County players over the last 10 years and Director of Camogie Development Mary O’Connor from Cork. Mary took the girls through their paces and gave them plenty of advice on playing with a wall ball session.

A big thank you to all for making the camp a huge success!
